Claire and Nick tied the knot against the backdrop of The West Mill, a striking industrial-styled wedding venue right here in Derby. This venue enables a couple to keep their wedding styling simple and modern, but with an chic vintage industrial twist. The Mill has its own private section of the River Derwent bank and nearby weir and with the venue being split over four different floors, not having to turn around rooms means the day flows beautifully around you. Not only has this Derbyshire wedding venue got so much natural personality and style but it is well-run and beautifully catered too, it is rapidly becoming one of my favourite East Midlands wedding venues.
Claire and Nick filled the venue with elegant soft florals, lots of candles and copper details which blended beautifully with the existing industrial decor. I loved their ‘favourite pub’ table names which served to tell guests a bit more about their personal journey, along with the wedding meal quiz to test guests on how much they knew about their hosts. It was lovely to be invited to sit with the guests to enjoy the wonderful wedding food, I was made to feel very welcome thank you Claire and Nick!
Here is a mini preview of their day.
