Kedleston Hall Tipi autumn wedding in Derbyshire

Where do I begin with Gemma and Rob’s wedding?  It’s a day like this that I realise how much I truly love my job.  Gemma and Rob weren’t a couple to fit anyone’s mould when it came to their wedding day and their creativity and inimitability made their wedding truly unique.   It was a bright and clear late Summer’s day at the stunning National Trust’s Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire that provided the setting for the wedding.   The Saloon was a perfect ceremony backdrop, with its beautiful domed ceiling and Italianate marbled decor.  After the ceremony and drinks on the rear lawn guests moved to the tipi on the front vista, where they entertained themselves with adventure golf and a science party inside the tipi for the younger guests (how cool is that!?).  After the meal a ceilidh had everyone tearing up the dancefloor.  I wish every wedding had a ceilidh as it was great to photograph the joy and easy laughter as so many joined in.

It was a wonderful day to photograph, and definitely one of those weddings that you felt you were another guest enjoying yourself along with everyone else.  Thanks so much for having us along Gemma & Rob.  Here are some of my favourites from the day…
