Becky and Nigel’s winter wedding at the Peak Edge Hotel near Chesterfield
Becky looked stunning in her Lori G wedding dress, and despite the cold and wet weather everyone snuggled into the cosy Red Lion pub after the ceremony and made merry. Becky and Nigel weren’t going to let the driving rain put them off getting some photographs outside in the short daylight gap we had, so it was on with the wellies and out we went. Later on the Christmas lights at the venue made for some lovely atmospheric shots after dark.
Becky’s mum had quietly contacted me before the wedding to let me know she’d managed to get hold of a snow machine as a surprise for Becky. Becky had apparently always envisioned a snowy wedding day, and luckily the rain stopped for a short while after dinner, enough time to surprise Becky with a flurry of snowy flakes. It made for some great snow wedding photography portraits.
Thank you to Becca up at The Peak Edge for all her help making sure Becky and Nigel had the day they wanted despite Storm Barney having other ideas.
This was such a lovely wedding to finish my year on. Here are some of my favourites from the day….
